Context Sensitive Help Integration with CDT editor? [message #130586] Mon, 06 December 2004 15:57 Go to next message

Hi,

Is there a straightforward way by which a context sensitive search on a
set of HTML files can be integrated into the CDT editor?

What I'm thinking of is something along the lines of "highlight a
keyword, hit F1 and have the index of some dropped in documentation
search for the keyword". The generic Eclipse platform documentation
does mention Infopops, but these look like they're related to UI widget
information, rather than help integration based on selected source...

Cheers,
Jon.

I'm replying to my own posting, but it looks like the answer to this is
"no".

It seems that there isn't currently a CDT use for the F2 key, as there
is with the JDT... It sounds like a useful CDT use of this might be the
functionality outlined in my original query i.e. search integrated help
contents/index for the item selected in the editor.
