Hi,
When trying to start Eclipse Juno SR1 on OpenSuse 12.2 64 bit the JVM crashes after selecting a new workspace :

#
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007f26965cb870, pid=3932, tid=139804007425792
#
# JRE version: 7.0_07-b30
# Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (23.2-b09 mixed mode linux-amd64 compressed oops)
# Problematic frame:
# C [libgobject-2.0.so.0+0x19870] g_object_get_qdata+0x20
#
# Failed to write core dump. Core dumps have been disabled. To enable core dumping, try "ulimit -c unlimited" before starting Java again
#
# An error report file with more information is saved as:
# hs_err_pid3932.log

# The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code.
# See problematic frame for where to report the bug.
#

I have tried with several jdk versions, with no better result.
Does anybody has an ideea, please ?

Thanks,
Liviu

I've got the same OS and the same thing happens to me too. It works well if used the default workspace (~/workspace/), so it looks like a bug. I do not remember if I updated some package yesterday...

I have opened a workspace: first open a default workspace "~ / workspace" and then go to File / Switch Workspace and select one. At least is a temporal solution.
