Hi,

Are the Eclipse Scout commiter considering using the Eclipse.org Gerrit instance[1] for patch submission?

I could find anything about this in the Eclipse Scout Contribution guide.

Hi

We are indeed considering it. But I'm not sure when we will start using Gerrit. Until then patch submission is still the old way via bugzilla patch attachment.

Read this blog post: Adopting Gerrit (by Miles Parker).

A Gerrit change is so much better for the contribution workflow than an attached patch in Bugzilla...

Yesterday I finally opened the bug which will switch our git repositories to the eclipse gerrit instance: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=405213
This means the commits/pushes for the kepler release will soon only be made through changes in gerrit. However the older release branches will be kept in svn until further notice: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=384960
