Dear Jason,

is there any material on the web that explains how to integrate BIRT 4 with phpjavabridge?

Could you please point me any if there is? I cannot seem to find any. Are the steps similar with BRT 3.7?

Thanks a lot
Karvesh

Karvesh

We have not updated the Bridge to 4, but the steps should be almost identical to 4. Have you tried it yet?

Hi, Karvesh.
I am using PHP Java Bridge to call BIRT in PHP.

Now the PHP Java Bridge is using Birt 2.6 (PHP Java Bridge, Version 6.2.1 updated 2010-10-31). I am using Birt Design version="3.2.23", so when I call to show the report design, there is error. After updating the bridge to use 4.2.0, it is ok.

Below is what I did to update to birt version 4.2.0, hope this will help you:

delete WEB-INF/platform directory,
delete all jar files in WEB-INF/lib except:
script-api.jar
php-script.jar
php-servlet.jar
lucene.jar
birtEngine.jar
JavaBridge.jar
then copy all jars from runtime download/reportengine/lib

I am pretty sure in future there might be some more issues. Hope from all the experiences of ours, we can help each other.

Cheers;
Kelly

FYI. A version of the PHP Javabridge is maintained by Zend and packaged with their "Zend Server" for PHP, but it is a commercial package. See
