So I have a cross tab showing employee names in the rows, and months in the columns. It shows the total hours worked by each employee for each month.

Then I have a grand total for each employee and a grand total for each month.

What I'm trying to do is also show an average for each employee and an average for each month but I can't figure out how to do that.

Thanks so much in advance for any help.

Have you tried using a derived measure?
Take a look at these examples:

I'm still confused. I don't see anywhere to make a derived measure (I'm probably missing something obvious).

I might just calc the averages in SQL and display a second table. It really seems like it would fit naturally with a cross tab though.

Click on the measure icon. Look at the attached image.
