Hi

I've always coded from scratch in a text editor and using a remote web server so I need a helping hand to get my environment sorted.

I've installed Eclipse (Version: 3.7.1 Build id: R3_7_1) and I've tried to adapt http:// www. i-programmer.info/programming/php/463-beginning-php-with-eclipse.html?start=1 to my OS which is Fedora 16.

I've got Apache running, http:// localhost/ helloWorld/hello2.php returns what it should, and I've got it set up as a file in Eclipse.

But, when I go to run > run as, I get no options. I seem to need 'PHP Web Page' as an option, but I'm not getting it.

What should I do next?

All help appreciated Smile

I'm not a PHP guy and I've never written a page in it. However, in
analogous situations (I do web applications in Java, with JSPs, HTMLs,
xhtmls, etc.), I right-click and choose Run As -> Run on Server. This
launches the internal browser where I see my thing. Is this not an
option for a .php file?

Aha, not quite, but there is a route to setting up a new environment, so I've just got to work out how to point to PHP. If anyone knows, yell ..
