Editor misbehaving when line exceeds screen width [message #915456]

Hey all,

Eclipse editor is displaying this rather irritating behavior when editing part of a line that exceeds field of view. Whenever I change/type in a single character it would show the beginning of the line, but the cursor remains in the correct position, but this is preventing me from normally editing the file since I don't see what I'm typing. There are no errors in the error log. Anyone has an idea how to fix this?
