Is there somewhere in the Help (or on the wiki) where the various icons used in Eclipse are defined or explained?

The specific icons I want to know about right now are the ones in the Install Software dialog -- there's two with a plug on top of a folder, one in color (blue/yellow plug), and one in black in white. Then there's one with two arrows circling around each other (one blue, one yellow).

You can see them by selecting a site in the Work with: textbox (such as http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/e3.4/ ), then opening the categories (or unselecting Group items by category). They appear between the checkboxes and the item names.

[Edit: added more detail about how to see the icons.]

Jesse,

No, I don't think there is an index with all icons explained. I'mSome
projects like JDT document them nicely:

http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.jdt.doc.user/reference/ref-icons.htm

I'm not sure which icons you mean. Maybe one for a plugin and one for
an update site?

Thanks for the response! I added some details about how to see the icons I mentioned (if you were reading through the newsgroups, you may not have seen it): Quote:

I found a number of other icon glossaries here: http://help.eclipse.org/juno/index.jsp?nav=%2F0_4_4_6

My next question is -- how can I go about fixing this? Where in the source code is the help defined, and who do I email patches to?

The Help center shows help for many different projects and hence the
source can be either in CVS or Git. The best approach is to file a bug
against the component and ask in the bug where a concrete file is stored.
