Hi Guys, i am new to the whole OSGi tuff and i try to run the OSGi console first.

I have downloaded http://download.eclipse.org/equinox/drops/S-3.9M1-201208101300/index.php and unpacked it to test/equinox.

According to http://www.eclipse.org/equinox/documents/quickstart-framework.php i changed into the folder and typed in

java -jar org.eclipse.osgi_3.8.100.v20120725-183140.jar -console

But nothing happends. Only my prompt is blinking...

JDK Version: java version "1.7.0_07"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.3.2) (ArchLinux build 7.u7_2.3.2-1-x86_64)

OS: Arch Linux Kerne 3.5.

What am i missing?

Equinox 3.8+ has console shipped within separate package(s) depending on
what you expect from console (like SSH security level, authentication
style, etc.)

Introduction to Equinox and its console with 3.8+ instructions is for
example in my post at
http://devblog.virtage.com/2012/08/osgi-with-equinox-for-beginners-overview

Good luck in the beginnings!
