Hello,

I have downloaded and installed Juno (x64 on Debian) and installed the Perforce 4.2 plugin and restarted the IDE. But when I try to import a project from Perforce I follow the steps as required, select the project I want from the list presented and click 'Finish'.

A dialog appears and the progress bar on it gets to about 45% then another dialog appears telling me that "Importing one project" failed. On clicking the details button there is simple error describing a "NullPointerException".

Has anyone else had this and more to the point is there a fix?

Sounds more like a problem with Perforce than with JDT, no?

Is there a stacktrace?

I don't see why to be honest what makes you say this? I'm assuming that the plugin's been tried and tested prior to release. But...

No. It's a very ambiguous to say the lease.

Because you reported a problem regarding the import from Perforce. JDT doesn't implement this import.

Which plugin are you refering to? All I know is that JDT is continuously being tested. So?

If it didn't show in the dialog there could still be a stacktrace to be found either by opening the "Errors" view or by locking into .metadata/.log in your workspace directory. Without at least a stacktrace we cannot give any advice I'm afraid.

Good, now all you have to do now is identify who provides classes in the com.perforce.team.ui namespace and send them this stacktrace. They should be able to advise from there.
