I am attempting to use the BPMN2 modeler to recreate examples given in the OMG document BPMN 2.0 by Example, specifically, the Human-driven vs. system-driven control flows -see OMG document page 11.
The problem I have is the location of connectors (sequence, flow, message flow or association) to tasks or between pools and tasks is automatically controlled by the software with quite unsatisfactory results as shown in the attchment.
In my attempts with BPMN@ modeller message flows to and from "Send mail to support system" task to the "VIP Customer" pool are overlaid. ALso all coonections to the pool are fixed at the centre of the lowere edge of the pool.
Similarly flows to the 'Edit 1st level ticket" converge to the same point rather than to separate points on the task.
Even if two connectors can be moved to separate points manually if the diagram is saved, once opened again the two connectors will converge at the same point again, taht is the chang in connection points is lost on save.
Is there a way that connections to tasks, pools etc. can be controlled manually by the user, as is the case in several other BPMN diagramming tools, and if not could this functionality be added to future updates? Of course I just may be missing something in the configuration but I can't find it if it is there.
Sorry, I tried to add images but failed - hopefully the descriuption above rings some bells and conveys the problems.
