I am having one hell of a time using Eclipse to put together a gui with relative layout. All of the elements tend to snap into place, causing other elements to lose position (in fact, it even loses it's relationship to it's partner). The snap distance is too great, I often times cannot make minute adjustments, as it will simply snap to the body it's closest to. Further, I cannot resize elements to my liking using the gui. The moment I do so, it wants to snap to the size of a nearby element, or fall into default size, or double that default size. I cannot use Relative layout, because it is driving me up the damn wall.

Surely this is not working as intended?

EDIT: I am developing an Android project.

Google developed the Android development tools. The Eclipse forums
don't provide support for the Google tools. You should check the
Android support forums provided by Google to get some help.

Thank you for the responses. I will redirect this conversation to Google's Android forum.
