Profiling error with weblogic 9.2 [message #119788] Thu, 20 December 2007 10:15 Go to next message

Hi
I am using WTP and TPTP for developing and profiling my application. I am
able to do both run and profile my application using tomcat server.
But when I am using weblogic9.2 server I am able to run the application
but not able to launch the profiler.
When I surfed on net I found
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=126594
As it was suggested here,
" Profiling on Sever feature is not yet supported for
WebLogic server. To workaround the problem, please try adding
"-XrunpiAgent" as a VM argument in server launch configuration, and start
server in run mode with the VM arg, then Profile>Profile... and create an
'Attach-Java Process'
configuration, select profiling agent to attach to and additional
profiling
options to continue."

I did the same but now eclipse is not able to find the agent conroller
installed on the system. On the other hand, it was able to find the
external agent controller when i was using it with Tomcat.
What could possibly go wrong and what can i do !

Regards,
Anubhav

I would like to add that I found some suggestions like adding the
Integrated Agent Contorller native library path to the server
configuration's PATH
environment. I made the changes to setDomainEnv of weblogic but it did not
help me. Where else can i make these changes to use the integrated
controller with weblogic?

Hi,

Could you describe you environment (JRE version and vendor, Eclipse & TPTP
version)?

Does external AC run then you are trying to start profiled Weblogic (with
option -XrunpiAgent)?

Did you tried to use new (JVM TI) profiler agents?

Thanks,
Alex.
