Help Causes Crash [message #894205]

Hello,

I am getting the follow window (please see attachment) and Eclipse crashes when I click on the Dynamic Help option or when I open the Help Content window and do a search.

I am runnin Eclipse Java EE, ver. Indigo Service Release 2, Build id:20120216-1857

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I too am having the same problem with Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers - Version: Indigo Service Release 2 -Build id: 20120216-1857 even after adding the following line to the eclipse.ini file as directed by another similar post:

--launcher.XXMaxPermSize
256M
-vm C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe
-showsplash

Reread another suggested corrective action and tried the following line in eclipse.ini:

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0\bin

As soon as search begins indexing the help content, eclipse crashes and issues the attached dump.

That's a bug in Oracle's JRE 7. It should be fixed in the latest JRE
version. I suggest you update to that one.
