I want my tabs on the bottom setting back! :-(
I loathe tabs on the top of editor windows.
Someone should have done some real usability studies, with real users,
before deciding to force everyone to use the 'tabs on the top' setup.
Most of the time, I'm working at the BOTTOM of the text editor, typing
in new code. Why should I have to break my concentration completely to
look at the TOP of the screen, just to switch tabs?
Then again, a LOT of other, previous usability studies have been ignored
for years, such as the one that _proved_ it is faster to scroll around
in a window if the scroll-up/scroll-down (and scroll-left/scroll-right)
widgets are next to each other at the bottom right of the window.
As I understand things, with Juno, I'll have to learn EMF so I can
create my own custom theme for things that should have been the defaults
all along. <sigh>
Remember, just because "that's the way it's always been" has _NOTHING_
to do with whether it is the best and/or most efficient way.
