hi,

i have created an Ecode diagram now when i wan to create a genModel of that diagram i have the folling error :
" Problem were detected while validating and converting the Ecore models "
( the name " is not well formed )

Any ideas on how to solved this problem?

Hi Frank,

you probably didn't set the root EPackage's name, nsPrefix and nsURI.
Use the properties view when no EClass is selected in the diagram or open the ecore file with the Ecore Sample Editor.

I've also found that sometimes phantom features/attributes stick around. Load up the .ecore file and look for extraneous items, and if there are none, and the problem persists...try to check the name of all the items by using the properties view.

FYI I usually close the diagram editor, edit the .ecore and then re-load the diagram editor....to ensure that they don't get out of sync.

That could be the case. If the *.ecore is opened and you validate that,
select a particular message, the editor will select the object with the
problematic value.
