Hi, I am currently learning how to use GMF by reading the "Eclipse Modeling Project" book. One thing I don't understand correctly is:

What is the difference between

  1. Canvas and a Diagram ?!
  2. Canvas and a Diagram Surface ?!

Thank you very much

Hello,
Canvas is a Draw2D figure and a Diagram is Notation model element (graphically represented by a Canvas).
Notation model is used to store the graphical model of a diagram file.
