In CDT 8.0 there was an input field in the Indexer preferences window called "Files to index up-front". I read in Bugzilla that this could be used to fix situations when the index was not resolving symbols in the standard C library.

I am now trying CDT 8.1 and having exactly this problem (many libc functions not resolving) but the "Files to index up-front" setting does not exist anymore, so I don't know how to fix it.
