Hi all,

Is there any schedule when plugins on orbit get updated ? I see a lot of
plugins having older plugins (perhaps for legacy reasons). Also I do not
see an update site for orbit being advertised anywhere. Does orbit have
an update site as yet ?

New versions of plugins are missing. Is there any process for requesting
new versions of plugins, and new plugins that are not on orbit (apart
from the IP process?)

Cheers,
Ketan Padegaonkar

No. Not in the sense I think you're asking about. We do "S-builds" to feed
the project's that need updates for Ganymede milestones. We'd do an actual
R-build if any Eclipse Project needed it for their own Release.

> Does orbit have an update site as yet ?

No, probably never will. The reason being is that Orbit is for other Eclipse Projects
to consume, so if anything is available, it'd be through those Project's update site.

The only way, that I know of, is to make the request via another Eclipse Project.
If that project needs it (and does the IP process) then it can get put in for that
project.

In short, Orbit is not for 3rd party content in general, but just 3rd party content that
happens to be needed by another Eclipse Project.

If you have specific plugins you have questions about, and need help knowing what Project to
lobby, feel free to ask here.
