The ORMF team has taken the decision that pursuing a close
collaboration with the OSEE team and achieving a tight integration of
ORMF into the OSEE framework is not feasible at this time. There are
several reasons for this decision the most important being that the
ORMF team simply lacks the resources to achieve that goal now. It is
also felt that in the near term it is best for the team to achieve a
deliverable based on existing code base for Useme that is being donated
by Etish Limited. In doing so the ORMF team will be able to quickly
deliver a useable system to the community which will stimulate
feedback. A scoping exercise based on this feedback will enable the
ORMF team will select the feature set of and formulate the project plan
for the 1.0 release of ORMF.

I would like to make it clear that this decision is in no way a
criticism of the value or viability of the OSEE project. In fact I
personally hope that downstream the ORMF project will be in a position
to reconsider this decision.

I would personally like to thank Don, Ryan and the rest of the OSEE
team for their initial invitation to join them and for all of the
support they have provided over the past weeks.

Joel

I would like to join Joel in thanking the OSEE team for their openness
towards ORMF, for their welcome and for their support in recent weeks.

I sure hope we will have another opportunity to join efforts.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that scarce resources prevent collaboration. What are your
ideas towards collaboration with the UML and Papyrus project. Are they
also put on hold?

thanks

Hi Anders,

Not at all sure. Once we get into a scoping exercise we will be in a
better position to understand what we can and cannot take on.
