Hello GMF Experts!

I'd like to throw this quesiton out if it is possible to have a GMF Editor not to create a diagram file but basically work on editing the model in memory?

For example, the GMF Editor takes in a model object as it's input then display the figures, edit the diagram by adding lines(connections), then save the changes. All of these should be done in memory. With this I would think both semantic and notation models can be modified in memory.

Is this possible? or the framework itself really requires the diagram file.

Appreciate the help guys!
