hi,
i'm want to learn how to use the eclipse modeling framework and therfore decided to build a uml2 to code (python) generator.
As far as i understand the field i need the metamodel of the uml2(tools), a user specific model, a workflow and a template to do this.
I'm already failing at the first step... where do i find the uml2 metamodel? I found org.eclipse.uml2.uml.resources and in there is a package metamodels, but i can't create a ecore diagram of them and theire filetype is .uml. So i'm not sure whether they're the right ones.
Best regards,
franz

Franz,
To learn how to use UML2 you can start with the links in the wiki:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/MDT-UML2
There are several choices for template languages. Xtend
(http://www.eclipse.org/xtend/) and Acceleo
(http://www.eclipse.org/acceleo/) are quite well supported.
