Hello,

I’m following documentation from the help of TPTP. My work environment
includes platform + test environment. I want to generate test report, as
it is described here (the link is relevant to my installation of course):
http://127.0.0.1:51030/help/topic/org.eclipse.hyades.test.do c.user/tasks/tcreatetestreports.htm

Unfortunately, when I select context menu of the test, the “Report...”
action is not provided in the pop-up menu. Could you suggest me where I’m
wrong? As I saw from the instruction this report is not BIRT report, so I
don’t need BIRT feature?

Regards,
Dimiter

Hi Dimiter,

I have the same problem. I already tried to add the BIRT libraries (from
the TPTP-download page), but that did not work either.

Hope there are better guesses available... :-)

Bye
Matthias

Hi Dimiter,
You have to be in the Test Navigator of the Test Perspective to see the
Report context menu.

Also, you will need the BIRT, GMF, and DTP dependencies if you want to
use the BIRT test reports:

Hi Matthias,
You also will need the GMF, and DTP dependencies if you are using TPTP
4.4.x. Also, make sure you are in the Test Navigator of the Test
Perspective to see the Report context menu.

Hi Paul,

thank you for your answer.

Does this requirement for BIRT, GMF and DTP also apply for the test report
generation via ASF (see my other posting from today) and ant?

Bye

Once again, hello Paul,

I'm sorry, but simply adding the mentioned plugins to my eclipse
installation did not get me any further.
Although generating reports from the eclipse workbench does work now,
generating them from an ant script still is not possible. The errors are
described in my posting from the 15th Oct. titled "[asf]....". Probably,
there is once again something fundamental that I'm missing...

Bye
Matthias

Hi Matthias,
Good to hear that reporting is working in the UI. I will someone reply
to your Oct 15 post regarding the ASF.
