It does not look like SOA is integrating the viewer, just the engine.
Can you post a screenshot of a report in the app?

What happens if you change the url by replacing the word run with frameset?
Or try leaving it with run and add &__format=pdf to the url. If the
format parameter is already in the url change its value to pdf.

I am not clear with the prev response, can u help me in more detail. Please find the url I am using to deploye the report.
<DB_URL/rm/birt/run?__report=reports/demo_report - Copy.rptdesign&libraryID=422:29&database_schema_name=&server_url=DB_URL

I am not sure how they have integrated birt but did you try
<DB_URL/rm/birt/frameset?__report=reports/demo_report -
Copy.rptdesign&libraryID=422:29&database_schema_name=&server_url=DB_URL
or
<DB_URL/rm/birt/run?__report=reports/demo_report -
Copy.rptdesign&libraryID=422:29&database_schema_name=&__format=pdf&server_url=DB_URL
