According to the manual, German (DE) and English (US) are the keyboard mappings supported out-of-the-box.

Although I set German (DE) as keyboard mapping
- on my local PC
- on the Citrix server I'm working on
- as my (only) Jubula project language
- in my AUT (advanced tab)
I get an error "Unsupported Keyboard Layout in AUT Configuration", trying to perform an 'Input Text' action on a 'Text Field/Text Area/Editor Pane/Text Pane' component.

I'm using the most recent Jubula 1.1 plug-ins under Indigo SR2.

What is wrong?
Where can I find more informations?

From the error log I just got the message:
2012-05-21 16:34:09.366 [Worker-24] ERROR o.e.jubula.client.core.ClientTest - Mapping for 'de_CH' could not be found.

It's true, I used to run 'de_CH' as keyboard mapping before, but I changed it to 'de_GE', restarted the workbench and the AUT.
Where is this keyboard mapping cached?
Why does Jubula still expects the old keyboard mapping, is it stored somewhere?

If anybody managed to add a 'de_CH' keyboard mapping, I would be more than glad to know.

Hi,

There is documentation on adding new keyboard mapping files here.
For your earlier question - did you get the AUT started with the de_DE mapping? You could try restarting the AUT Agent if just restarting the AUT did not result in the new mapping taking effect.

HTH,
Alex

Hi Everybody,
Actually this is not a reply to the previous comment but I did not want to open a new topic because I have a very similar problem with the keyboard.

My test fails with "Unsupported Keyboard Layout in AUT-Configuration!" when I want to use "Replace text" or "Insert before or after".
When I want to replace the text then I can see that the text field is found and the present text is highlighted but the the replace is not done.
If I want to use ub_txc_inputTextAfterIndex then I can see that the cursor is placed in the right position but the insertion does not want to happen.

Installed version of Jubula 1.3.0
System keyboard is en_US and I use this in AUT confing as well.
Eclipse version 3.7 was used to buid the RCP.

When I open the test (Tests->Open...) I got this in the aut_agent.log:
2013-02-07 16:02:34.615 [ModalContext] ERROR o.e.jubula.tools.i18n.CompSystemI18n - Cannot find I18N-key in resource bundles: 1

Does anyone know what to do?
Thanks Gabor

Hi Gabor,

The errors are annoying and confusing, but have nothing to do with the keyboard layout. I believe we've fixed the cause of those log entries for the next release (2.0 standalone / kepler).
Based on your information, the first thing I have to ask is - are you sure that en_US is specified as the keyboard layout on your system for the AUT (I know that Windows lets you have different layouts for different AUTs, and I know that we had problems with linux changing the layout depending on whose keyboard was attached last Wink ).

That's the only hint I can give at the moment I'm afraid - I've not known it to be the case that this error comes for the wrong reason (that doesn't mean it's not possible, just that I've never seen it...)

Best regards,
Alex
