Hi,

I'm getting the following exception when I profile my app. When I create
a brand new eclipse project and create a simple helloworld example, then
the profiling works. However, I'm getting this exception with my app
every time.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Aston,
What TPTP build are you using?
Are you using filters while profiling your application? Filters can
decrease volume of profiling data.
What percentage number are you seeing on status bar in the "Launching new
configuration" message?
Regards,
Igor

Igor,

I am using eclipse 3.3. Here are the tptp info:

TPTP Monitoring Tools Project: 4.4.1.v200706132116
TPTP Platform Project: 4.4.1.v200706132116
TPTP Profiling for Web Apps: 4.4.1.v200709261752
TPTP Reporting with BIRT: 4.4.1v200706132116
TPTP Testing Tools Project: 4.3.101.v200709261752
TPTP Tracing and Profiling Tools Project: 4.3.1.v200709261752

I actually re-installed eclipase 3.3 last night and used update manager to
install tptp.

The agent controller is running as an NT service. Platform is WindowsXP. I
couldn't get IAC to work at all.

Agent Controller version is 4.4.0.0

Thanks.

I tried to upgrade to latest from the Tech Preview site. Selected TPTP Tech
Preview but it complained about

Tooling for Web Services Distributed Management (WEDM) (4.3.0.v2006 ...)
requries plug-in org.wsdl4j

Clicking on "Select Required" didn't fix the problem.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Finally downloaded
tptp.runtime.allInOne.win32.win32.x86-TPTP-4.4.1-20071003010 0.zip again and
tried it.

Same result.

Mauro Molinari pointed me to this bug:

I tried the SocketTL.dll and it worked!

Thanks.

Hi Aston,
for your (and the community) convenience, I write here too.
You have to upgrade your stand-alone agent controller to version
agntctrl.win_ia32-TPTP-4.4.1-200710030100.zip in order to make profiling
work.

However, in the mentioned bug report I outlined the fact that the IAC
still doesn't work (for me, at least...).

Mauro.
