Slowly gaining foothold in Birt. I figured out how to do an alternating row color for a table using a highlighter, but do I have to copy that for each table, or is it possible to do that once?

Nevermind, figured it out already: styles also have highlights. Next step is to figure out how to get this cross-report.

Have you tried to put the style in a lib and then reference the lib?

Yes. I had trouble figuring out why it didn't work, but it turned out that I needed to select it on the root node of the report. The tutorial I had wasn't clear about that step. It works now. I'm getting more and more pleased with Birt.
