Problem creating diagram [message #843806]

When I try to add a diagram to my existing model the diagram icon appears with a red line across it and I can not do anything usefull with it.

If I create a new model there is no problem adding diagrams and editing them.

I have no other diagrams in my current model.

What is wrong ?
