This is probably an faq, so the right URI will do.

How to I find existing bundles? Recently I was looking for a bundle for
javamail, I had no luck using http://www.osgi.org/Repository/HomePage
and some other OBR repository, by chance I came accross
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/R200 706192011/bundles/javax.mail_1.4.0.v200706111329.jar
which seems to be what I was looking for.

What do you when you bundles require a popular package which has most
likely been bundled before?

Third party bundles that are used in the various Eclipse projects reside in
a project called Orbit.
http://www.eclipse.org/orbit/

Here's the downloads page from a recent Integration build.
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/I200 80307200012/

....and the more general download page with all the various builds.
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/

All of these bundles are vetted by the foundation for IP issues and are then
maintained by the teams that use them so they should be pretty solid.

Are the bundles available in Orbit approved for use in projects not
beloning to the Eclipse Foundation, e.g. commercial products or academic
research projects (given the license of the third-party product to be
used allows that)?
