Swing Mac - thread issue [message #105266]

I know this has come up before but after spending a couple of hours of
searching and trying stuff I haven't managed to make it work.

Can anyone explain how to get a JFrame to appear when running a bundle
from the Plug-in Development Perspective?

I have read about a target.ws variable and --launcher.secondThread but so
far, no success.

I think this is just the wrong newsgroup.

news://eclipse.platform or news://eclipse.platform.rcp would be the
better choice.

Sorry if I have posted to the wrong group. I am not the first to ask this
question in this group though. So now I don't know if I failed to explain
the problem clearly enough :-)

While https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=181698, and https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=133072 supposedly addressed these issues, I've personally never been able to get Equinox and Swing to play nicely on the mac (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=212617).

Unfortunately, there has been little explicit progress in figuring out what's wrong (my meager stumbling in the launcher has only produced headaches). Add yourself to the bug notification and pray.
