I want to create an IDE based on Eclipse But i am not sure which one technique is better in between Eclipse Branding with product or Eclipse Source Building through ANT Script?
I can check out Eclipse source code from CVS,But if i have to add a single menu i have to go through all of the code.Can you please tell me that which technique is better to create eclipse based IDE.
Please Help

Go branding, definitively! Eclipse IDE, Aptana, Zend Studio, JBuilder and many others are examples how nicely can be Eclipse Richclient Platform used to build IDE-like product without touching Eclipse sources.
