Javascript ide is built into the java eclipse ee ide.

docment.getElementById(), either in an html file in this ide or in a javascript source file in this ide will NOT produce an error, or a warning. Is this expected behavior? Preferences -> validator, ect. provides no option for enabling this kind of dom validation.

Please explain. Why does this ide not check basic dom errors?
