Hello EMF community,

I'd like to introduce you all to the Eclipse Modeling Framework for .Net
project (EMF4Net in short). EMF4Net is an intended component under
the EMFT project. The component's purpose is to provide the core
functionality of EMF for the .Net platform. EMF4Net should allow the
generation of C# code from Ecore models and the usage of that code
in a similar way the Java code generated by EMF can be used today.

We have written a proposal which you can access in the eclipse wiki at
http://wiki.eclipse.org/EMF4Net_Proposal
Everybody is hereby invited to discuss the proposal and committers are
requested to vote for the component.

More information can be found on the web site of the project at
http://www.emf4net.org/

I also like to use the opportunity to thank Ed Merks and the EMF team
for the given help and support.

Best Regards,

Reinhold Bihler

Hi there,

it looks like the EMF4Net Project is pretty dead.

All project ressources at
https://eclipse.org/modeling/emft/?project=emf4net
seem to be offline (Website, Forum).

Is there any possibility to do archeology and to find out whether any
code produced in the project is archived somewhere?
Is there any way to search for code of abandoned projects at Eclipse
incubator projects (i.e. is there some standard place to store code)?

It would be interesting if it would be possible to resurrect the project
without starting totally from scratch...

Cheers,
Hauke

Maybe from https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=394592 you can
get it. If not, you can ask questions on that bug.
