ErrorDialog doesnot show special characters [message #829486]

Hi,

The dialog box if used, takes the message in the 'Status' object , if the message has
special characters such as New&York , the message does not contain New&York, instead it shows New_York .. Why is this behaviour.? how can i avoid it?
