No Software Listed in Install New Software Dialog [message #821075]

I was not sure which forum to post in, so I hope this one is correct. Recently the Install New Software dialog seems to be non functional. The list which usually initializes with "There is no site selected." is empty. If I select either a site or all sites from the available software sites combobox the software list remains empty.

If I switch to a new workspace the list is populates as expected.

Is there a way to repair the apparently broken workspace?
