Hi,

Could someone please point me to documentation that lists what's new in v3.7.2?

Thanks!

Mike,

I am going to put a blog post on 3.7.2 shortly but there are not many
new things, but fixes to existing code. That said we have brought back
the osgi runtime in addition to the pojo runtime. We also have a new
report item. For fixes have a look here:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?classification=BIRT&product=BIRT&target_milestone=3.7.2&list_id=894647

Mike,

We also have a new recalc feature on crosstab and table filters. This
allows aggregates to either include or exclude filter data. Very cool
feature that we have been needing. In addition we have derived cube
measures that allow measures to reference other measures in the cube.
I plan on getting a blog post up very soon with some examples. Scott's
team just published maven pom for the birt runtime as well!

Jason,

Thanks for the additional info. The crosstab stuff sounds cool. I think that the Maven POM for BIRT RT will be very useful. We were looking forward to an easier way to customize the BIRT viewer and using something like Eclipse w/ Maven will make custom builds that much easier. Nice!

I still haven't posted an enhancement request to allow customization of error messages (one of my previous posts). However, with the easy build you've described, it may not be much of an issue -- though a simple "displayErrors Y/N" property might be a nice idea in an upcoming viewer release.

Mike,

Currently only the runtime is in maven. We have not done the viewer
yet. You could still use it to replace the jars the viewer uses with
the engine though.
