I plan to have several JVM instances running on a same machine, all potentially generating reports. Can they all share the same BIRT Runtime ? Or do I need a specific one per JVM ?

thanks,

Are you using BIRT 3.7 or greater? If so you do not set a birt home you
just add the jars. If you are using earlier you will need to create one
for each as it writes data to the configuration directory.
