Hi, I need to use RSE to develop software for embedded systems (TM is
needed).

I've tried to install RSE 1.0.1 under Eclipse 3.2 and under 3.2.2 without
any success.

Installation run correctly, but after eclipse restart (I've tried to close
eclipse and run it with "-clean" too), I tring to open RSE Perspective and
I've got follow errors:

1 - Problems opening perspective 'org.eclipse.rse.ui.view.SystemPerspective'

2 - On Remote System sheet the error message is:
Unable to create View: An unexpected exception was"

3 - On Detail the error message is:

I've solved it. There was a network misconfiguration.
Expecially hostname was different respect that one in /etc/hosts file.

I've found this mistake runnng "hostname" command.

I hope this can help someone.

I'm not sure how well Eclipse already runs with gcj.
I'd recommend using a Sun, IBM or BEA JVM instead.

Cheers,
Martin

I've solved it. There was a network misconfiguration.
Expecially hostname was different respect that one in /etc/hosts file.

I've found this mistake runnng "hostname" command.

I hope this can help someone.
