Just right click on the table header row and select insert above. This
will create two header rows. Then hold the shift button and select cell
1 row 1 and cell 1 row 2. Right click on the selection and click on
merge cells. For the newly merged cell select vertical alignment middle
on the general properties. You can also select side by side cells and
merge them. See attached example.

I assume you mean the there may be additional columns. Two for every
date? This looks like an ideal candidate for a crosstab item. If you
put the data in that picture in a txt file I can write a report to show
you how to create the crosstab.
