Slow execution [message #8838] Thu, 11 December 2008 16:20 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
My tests are 10 times or more slower now than before. I don't know why. I
did several changes (upgrading to 3.3.1 for instance). But I also updated
the SWTBot plugins for test execution. Before they were not yet renamed to
org.eclipse...

Did anything change in SWTBot which could affect performance of tests?

Its because I set delays and timeouts in the tests. I used
net.sf.swtbot... But that changed to org.eclipse.swtbot...

Ketan,

Can you provide a build with the package changes, i.e. update the
developer builds? I would like to start making the changes in our code.

Thanks,

Ketan,

The last build with the net.sf.swtbot package names is available at the
regular place on sf.net.

There's been only minor bug fixes so far and I do not wish to provide
builds with the org.eclipse.swtbot namespace until some legal issues
with a few shared libraries are sorted out.

I'd recommend building from source for now, I was really hoping that I
get to checkin the entire source code with the required libraries, but
I'm awaiting clearance for the libraries.

I figured that was the case since I saw the IP requests. Part of me was
hoping it wasn't. =)
