Hello,

I have seen that MAT is removing unreachable Objects from the Heap dump
while loading it initial. I wonder if any statistics on those are
available. We had some problems with GCs where a major collection was not
running for hours (good) but that also lead to a large number of not
finalized Objects. Looking at the dead objects in the Heap (at least a
histogramm) would be cool).

One option would be to just print a histogramm of the removed classes,
another would be to somehow make them more inspectable. Maybe create a
virual "finalizer queue" ...

2. download eclipse from eclipse.org
3. use the other version

Hi Leslie,

I am not quite sure if we can help you here in this forum. We are
discussing the Memory Analyzer, a plug-in to Eclipse which looks at heap
memory. So maybe try one of the general purpose newsgroups.

Other than that, a thread dump of the Virtual Machine could indicate who
is doing something....
