Choice lists not updating for Target Milestone [message #8696] Mon, 09 July 2007 23:25 Go to next message

How do I sync the choice lists for various fields in the Bugzilla bug
editor? Is the following a bug, or is there something I need to do to
get the choice lists to update?

1. Use Mylyn for a long time, creating and updating bug reports,
assuming you have Target Milestones i1, i2, i3, i4.
2. Your PMC adds two new milestones to the project in Bugzilla: i5 and i6.
3. Open a bug report in Mylyn and it still does not show i5 and i6 in
the list, even after those target milestones have been in the system for
several days

I'm using eclipse 3.3 with the GA version of Mylyn for Europa.

Thanks,
David

You can right click on the repository and choose "Update Attributes". Does
that work?

If you right click on a repository in the Task Repositories view there is an option to called Update Attributes. I think this will do what you want.

I've no idea if there is a way get Mylyn to regularly do this (e.g. once a week) - possibly worth raising a bug for it?

Cheers,
Richard

If you have background synchronization on Mylyn will currently do this
on every 10th synchronization:

Note that we are currently brainstorming on how to make this policy
smarter than "every 10th time".

Thanks Mik and others! I just went in and checked, and apparently it
had been through 10 syncs, since the new attributes were now showing up
in open bug report windows. Sorry that I didn't think to check the FAQ!
