Hi,
I have 1.1 version of EGIT
(In help->about eclipse-> Installation details I see version 1.1.0.2011...)
I saw that announcement of JGit / EGit Release 1.3
in egit-dev mailing list. (17 Feb 2012)
what should I do to update to 1.3 ? (it could be somehting standard in Eclipse
but I do not have much experience with updating sw with eclipse)

regards,
David Shwatrz

If you installed EGit from Marketplace, you need to go to:

Help -> Eclipse Marketplace -> Installed

and click on "Install" button beside EGit plugin.

If this also doesn't work, add the installation repo http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates and try again "Help > Check for Updates"
