Hello,

Thks for MAT ! a very helpfull tool.

Now, I have got several heapdumps from Websphere running on a J2RE 1.3.1 IBM AIX build ca131-20030618. Would be great if I could use MAT to analyse them. But as I understand, it seems that under 1.4 this is not possible.
Is the format as different ? No way to have a tool to parse this kind of dumps so that they could be recognized by MAT ?

I think the heapdumps produced by j2re 1.3.1 is text heapdump. you can use try ibm heap analyzer for that. I think MAT works with dtfj.

Yes, it is in txt form.

But, ibm heap analyzer is more difficult to interpret that MAT !

Those versions of Java and WebSphere Application Server are too old to be of much interest.

These releases are no longer available. Customers are strongly advised to move to a supported version of Java.

Yes, of course I know that ;o)

But, sometimes you have got some nice old projects going on running such very old versions (old applications that will never be re-writen for example)

So, as I understand, there is definively no hope.
