I'm seeing a problem that was reported in February, 2011. I've logged more information in bugzilla, but I'm not sure if anyone is looking at it. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this is happening:

The SQLScrapbook editor has a very simple formatter. All it does is
upper-case SQL keywords. (See the SQLWordStrategy class in the
internal.sql package of the org.eclipse.datatools.sqltools.sqleditor
plugin.) This was implemented as a place-holder for a more sophisticated
formatter that unfortunately was never built.

Brian, thank you. Is DTP dead? If not, I will add a formatter to my wish list of things I plan to work on someday.

Hi Brian,

No, DTP is not dead. DTP participates in each Eclipse release train, and
the DTP 1.10 release will be part of the upcoming Juno release.

DTP is a "mature" project, so the overall level of change activity is
low. But it's widely used and is embedded in a number of commercial
products.

Several DTP committers have moved on to other things over the past few
years, so the project is short-staffed. However we've recently gained
two new committers, one in the SQL Dev Tools project and one in the
Enablement project.

Enhancements such as a SQL formatter would be most welcome. Contribute
some good patches, and you could get the chance to be a DTP committer
too :-)

Regards,
Brian
