i have downloaded eclipse file name is "eclipse-jee-indigo-SR1-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz"
can anyone tell me it is for 32 bit or 64 bit OS?

Now guess what 64 in the file name means?

The problem is that the OS-bitness is not the important thing. The
important thing is if you have a 32bit or 64bit java. I'm as an example
running Eclipse 32bit (with jdk6 32bit) on Win7 64bit.
