I read somewhere that main target is BPEL 2.0 full compliance. However what
if I want to edit 1.1 files? Is there easy way to do this? Even with some
implementation from my side?

Don't take this as gospel, but I think you should be able to do this
without too much difficulty by taking an old snapshot of the BPEL model.
The BPEL model previously was reading BPEL 1.1 (I'm not sure of the degree
of compliance), but it seemed to have been pretty close (with a few
elments missing, which you could back-port from the 2.0 models).
