Hi

I am trying to move the current RAP application to mobile

1. Can we create the cutom widgets which uses
(http://demo.qooxdoo.org/1.6/apiviewer/#qx.ui.mobile)
so that application runs on the mobile..

2.Secondly, the client side footprint can be reduced accroding to the below posting
http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/72170/?srch=mobile#msg_70574
If i remove the Tree and i am using the Table , how much will be the difference.

Thanks
Raj

Not possible since the qooxdoo version is not compatible with RAP
qooxdoo. If you are missing specific features in RAP open an enhancement
request or implement a custom widget yourself in the current RAP qooxdoo
client.

This post is very, very out-of-date. If you want to remove some
components from the client this is still possible (in a different way),
but it will only save a few KB on the client js file, which is cached
and compressed anyway. Not recommanded.

Greetings,
Tim

Hi Tim

Thanks for saving me couple of hours for letting me know that it is not worth spending time on doing the custom build.

Can you let me know RAP 1.5M4 uses which version of the qooxdoo java script library ?

Thanks
Raj

RAP qooxdoo is not fully compatible with any other version of qooxdoo
since its heavily cutomized, partially rewritten and missing some
components. It was originally based on qooxdoo 0.7.4.

Hi Raj,

it's probably possible to write custom widgets for RAP based on the
qooxdoo code you mentioned. But as Tim pointed out, this will require
much more work than just copying the qooxdoo files. You should be
familiar with RAP, JavaScript, and qooxdoo if you start this effort.

Moreover, we are still in the process of consolidating our client
structure, so you may have to adapt your custom widget to changes in
future versions.

Regards, Ralf
