named for the release they are approaching. However, the guidelines are
different and less clear before the 1.0 point.

before we get to release 1.0, we will name the releases 0.i, where "i"
is the associated iteration number. Therefore, in this case, we can use
i4, Milestone 1, and Release 0.4 interchangeably. We do need to update
the download page to make it more obvious which download link
corresponds to release 0.4. In the first post in this thread, "version
listed is 1.0.0-200706281537" was supposed to indicate which link to
choose, but if we had it better marked on the page itself, that would
help further eliminate the ambiguity.
