Eclipse is very good, but I'd like someone in this forum to help me
decide if I can create a web application or a web service in [Eclipse

specifically to apply it to a touch screen."

Diogenes,
Someone with experience using Sencha may just happen to read this forum
(and your post), but maybe not.
I'd suggest instead contacting Sencha's developer community to ask them
if Eclipse is a good IDE to use and what Eclipse support they offer.
Eclipse itself has no actual connection to Sencha just as Eclipse also
has nothing to do with Android development, but most Android developers
use Eclipse to develop their applications.
So, start with Sencha, then come back here to ask Eclipse-specific
questions.
Best of luck my friend,
Russ Bateman
